With all the talent that Michael Beasley has it’s no surprize that he was the # 2 draft pick. Just take a look at his accomplishments. He will definately make a fine addition to Miami.

Michael Beasley attended Oak Hill Academy (Virginia) in 2005-2006 and helped lead team to a 40-1 overall record and a final USA Today No. 2 national ranking.
As a junior in 2005-06 averaged 20.1 ppg., 10.4 rpg., and 4.5 bpg.
Michael Baesley recorded 21 double-doubles in 2005-06.
Attended Riverdale Baptist (Md.) in 2004-05, averaged 28 ppg., 13 rpg., and 4.0 bpg. Helped lead team to a 33-1 overall record.
Played for the AAU PG Jaguars (Through 15U), DC Assault (15U-Present).
His DC Assault won the Las Vegas 16U championship.
Micheal Beasley has participated in the ABCD camp.
As a junior, was named to the EA Sports All-America first team (one of just four juniors on the 20-man first team) Parade Magazine All-America second team, USA Today All-America third team and one of just three non seniors named to one of the first three Slam Magazine All-America teams.
Named Co-MVP along with Eric Gordon at the adidas Superstar Camp in summer of 2006
Michael Beasley was named to Slam’s annual High-School All American 1st team along with Derrick Rose, Kyle Singler, O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love and Eric Gordon.
Named to the 2004-2005 Washington Post All-Met first team as a Sophomore.
Named to 06-07 McDonalds All-American team.
Named to the American team for the 2007 Nike Hoops Summit
Michael Beasley was named to the East team for the 2007 Jordan Classic.
Named 06-07 McDonalds All-American game MVP.

Derrick martin Baltimore Ravens arrestedDespite a denial by the player and a suggestion from the team that it was either a coincidence or a case of identity theft, police have confirmed that Ravens cornerback Derrick Martin was arrested on Saturday for drug possession at the Cleveland airport.

Per the AP, the authorities determined in conjunction with the Ravens that Martin the Ravens player was the person arrested.Airport screeners found three small packets of marijuana while searching Marting at a security checkpoint.

The fact that Martin apparently lied to the team about the incident could subject him to stiffer-than-usual penalties under the Personal Conduct Policy.

DTLR  along with Atlanta Falcons Chauncey Davis, Ovie Mughelli  and Atlanta Native Daniel Wilcox  Baltimore Raven Host FREE Football Camp

 

NFL players and local retailer to host camp in partnership with former Atlanta-area high school coach Oscar Dillard  


Who:               
Professional football players, Ovie Mughelli, Chauncey Davis and Daniel Wilcox, along with local student-athletes between age 12 and rising seniors (entering their senior year of high school later this summer).

 What:              
Local urban retailer DTLR (Downtown Locker Room) has organized a FREE one-day football camp to meet the unique needs of Atlanta-area high school athletes who are preparing for college football. As part of DTLR’s ongoing community outreach in the Atlanta area, the retailer has gathered the unique talents and expertise of NFL players for this event.
Additionally, Oscar Dillard, a  prominent former high school football coach in the Atlanta area, will lend the services of the Oscar Dillard Football Academy to the camp.  The day’s activities will include a warm up, followed by agility drills, offensive fundamentals and defensive fundamentals broken down by position, seven-on-seven passing drills, an overview of the college recruiting process by a representative from The Athletic Group, and a question and answer session hosted by Davis, Mughelli and Wilcox.

Chauncey Davis, Ovie Mughelli,and Daniel Wilcox will bring other players to assist with this event. Registration fees cover the following: Camp schedule will include: Football Position Drills, Recruiting Seminar for Parents & Student Athletes and Lunch.
