Derrick Coleman Suffering From Heart Arrythmia

Posted by TSUE on May 2, 2008

Derrick Coleman was hospitalized two weeks ago because of an irregular heart beat that began to plague him toward the end of his 10-year NBA career. At the moment he does not need to have a heart transplant according to his wife a former Nets executive. It may be a possibility down the road but for now his doctors are managing the condition. Their plan is to implant a defibrillator and monitor the results.

Coleman played at Syracuse University from 1986 to 1990 and still ranks second on the school’s all-time scoring list and first in rebounds. He was the No. 1 pick in the 1990 NBA Draft and played 15 pro seasons for the New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons.

For now Derrick is not in immediate danger which is a good sign.  With the help of his family and friends I believe he will be just fine.

Posted by TSUE on May 2, 2008

Dennis Rodman

It looks like former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman has been arrested for hitting a woman at a Los Angeles hotel and booked on suspicion of domestic violence. The woman Sara Fayden suffered injuries to her arm. Rodman was released on Thursday morning and his bail was set at $50,000. He  arraignment is scheduled for May 22nd, 2008.

Since his divorce he has had a difficult time coping and as a result has become a victim of substance abuse according to his manager Steve Simon.

We can only pray that Dennis Rodman gets his life together for the sake of his own mortality and that of his children.  Its a shame when such a talented person becomes lost.

Maybe one day soon with help he will finally be able to turn it all around.

Jose Canseco’s Loses $2.5 Million Dollar Mansion

Posted by TSUE on May 2, 2008

Former baseball player star Jose Canseco lost his 7,300 square-foot home in the suburb of Encino, LA to foreclosure.  Being one of the great baseball players of the major leagues it’s hard for many to believe that the once flamboyant U.S. baseball player has become a victim of the housing crisis.

In several interviews he was asked how this happened and he responded by saying his divorces and supporting all his family members played a big role in him owing more than 2.5 million dollars on his home.  He is currently live on about roughly $16 million a year and has another book out now called “Vindicated” and in the process of trying to make his previous book and current one into to movies.

Mr. Canseo isn’t exactly standing in line for welfare. Far from it…. If he keeps writing books about the steriod use in the National Baseball League he will eventually have enough funds to buy back his mansion.
